COASTAL FOREST WALK
"Clear water, unspoilt environment and idyllic golden sand bays..."
Sir Edmund Hillary
At
the top of the South Island, Abel Tasman National Park enjoys the
most sunshine hours in New Zealand. Here, the Wilson family, associated
with the area for 7 generations, hosts guided walks year- round. The
easy, well-formed track winds through native forest and glittering
beaches. Sea birds, penguins, seals and dolphins are special features
of this walk.
For the best experience take a five day guided walk or kayak trip,
which includes a scenic cruise and two nights accommodation at both
the Meadowbank Homestead in Awaroa and the Torrent Bay Lodge. Both
offer gourmet meals, New Zealand wines and twin / double bedrooms
with ensuites. Luggage transfers enable you to travel with just a
daypack. A 3-day walk or kayak option is also available.
